Algeria has officially lifted its 19 year state of emergency which restricted speech and assembly.
So Algeria has been in a "state of emergency" for the last 19 years and now that the people are rioting and protesting, Algeria is no longer in a "state of emergency"?
That logic sounds about right for government.
